Welcome to the Strive Cycle Training 3 Peaks plan for 2015. The 3 Peaks challenge is just that - really challenging. You have lots of climbing to do and over 230km to cover in under 13 hours.
This plan is structured into 3 blocks. In the first two blocks there is an emphasis on strength. Muscular strength is going to be critical in being able to ride over some of the cols coming your way.
We then transition into a phase that has more of a speed focus. This is aimed at increasing your aerobic capacity so you can complete the challenge in reasonable time.
I encourage you to continue you strength training in the gym, focusing now on general body and core conditioning.
