This plan is a 16 week training plan designed specifically for a 12.5 mile swim. This plan can be applied to any distance swim event but has been designed without detailed attention to wetsuit/non wetsuit swims. Suggested level of activity when training begins: Able to swim non stop for 500 yards and has the aerobic base to briskly walk, jog, run or cycle for 15 minutes with ease.
