After taking some time off after your final race of the season, start back up with some unstructured training, then start this program. This plan will get you back into the exercise routine while maintaining your running fitness, building strength, and add variety to your plan.
Since it is an off-season plan, focus is placed on strength and variety. Drills should be included in all your warm-ups.
This plan includes strength training, days off, and active recovery days.
If you're not currently running the mileage prescribed in the workouts, you should start by gradually building up for a few weeks or months (depending on your starting point) before starting this plan.
If your workouts have been longer than what is in this plan, you can easily keep up your mileage by adjusting the workout times.
