After taking some time off after your final race of the season, start back up with some unstructured training, then start this program. This plan will get you back into the exercise routine while building your triathlon fitness and adding variety to your plan.
This plan is for those triathletes looking to improve their run in the off-season by including 3 runs each week while also cross-training.
The off-season is an ideal time to focus on strength as well as any weakness you have. For this reason, strength sessions are included as well as strength specific swim, bike & run workouts.
This plan includes strength training, days off, and active recovery days.
If you're not currently running the mileage prescribed in the workouts, you should start by gradually building up for a few weeks or months (depending on your starting point) before starting this plan.
If your workouts have been longer than what is in this plan, you can easily keep up your mileage by adjusting the workout times.
