XTERRA ROTORUA 6 Week Advanced Training plan

This program has been designed by 2015 XTERRA Rotorua Champion Braden Currie. Braden is also the USA Off-road Triathlon Champion and placed 2nd at XTERRA World last year. Alongside his longtime coach Tim Brazier, he has worked to create the ultimate XTERRA Rotorua training program designed for someone with baseline fitness in swimming, running and mountain biking. The program is designed to lift your performance for the next level so you can achieve your full potential at this World Qualifying XTERRA event. Average duration of training per week required is approximately 15hours for best results. Sessions and weekly plan can be modified by the athlete in order to fit time restrictions. The program includes all elements of training for XTERRA, including strength training which is an integral part of progression in a sport like XTERRA. Nutritional guidelines for race week will also be supplied closer to the time so that you can achieve the best preparation for the event. Braden and Tim are also available for any questions as you progress through the program and can adapt aspects of the program to suit your specific needs.
