Physician Assistant, 1-3 Years Racing Duathlon
“I am happy with the way TrainingPeaks has helped to organize my training. Prior to 2010 the training was haphazard at best and the results show that. After getting on TrainingPeaks, the results demonstrate a HUGE improvement - bottom third at Worlds in 2008 and 2009, to 8th in 2010 and 10th in 2011!”
Patricia Driscoll has had a diverse athletic career that has included being a pioneer for women’s sports as a member of the first US Women’s Bobsled team, podium finishes at the Master’s World Cup Biathlon Championships in Finland, and Masters National Champion in Snowshoe Racing (2002). She turned to duathlon in 2005. Initially competing locally, she moved on to international competition in 2008 at the ITU Age Group World Championships in Rimini, Italy. Trying to balance a busy life as a physician assistant and training for international competition at the same time was quite difficult. Self coaching and random workouts changed dramatically after TrainingPeaks and an amazing coach entered her life, and Patricia saw her fitness and performance dramatically improve. She now balances training with an active family life and a full time career as a Physician Assistant, and finds that sharing her love of fitness with her patients gives her the ultimate reward of helping to improve health and wellness in her community.
