Race Analysis

Brian conserved his energy well today in the Queen stage 2 of the USA Pro Cycling Challenge and was able to push hard on the last epic climb up Independence Pass. He rode steadily and smoothly within the peloton today, throughout the stage, which included the massive Cottonwood pass which was a gravel road! On the final climb, Brian averaged 294 watts(normalized) for 56 minutes, and when he rode over 10,000’, he averaged 282 watts normalized, which equates to 3.8 watts per kilogram. A great ride at a super high elevation here in Colorado!
