Other than the TTT, Stage 4 was the highest avg heart rate, 146bpm, and average watts, 271w, of this year’s Tour of Qatar for Stannard. He also set his highest 1-minute power value, 663w, and his highest 3-hour power output of 274w. This was obviously a tough day and Team Sky came through with three riders in the top-10. Besides Stannard’s 10th place Juan Antonio Flecha was 4th, and Bernhard Eisel was 8th.
