Stage 4: Sonora – Clovis, 209.6km At 130 miles, Stage 4 was the longest stage of the 2012 Amgen Tour of California. The stage finished in a similar fashion to the previous three stages with Peter Sagan (Liquigas-Cannondale) claiming his fourth-straight victory.

Stage 3: San Jose to Livermore, 185.5km After three bunch sprint finishes, UnitedHealthcare’s Marc De Maar is sitting in sixth place overall at the Amgen Tour of Calfornia, just 27 seconds behind the race leader, Peter Sagan (Liquigas-Cannondale).

Stage 2: San Francisco to Santa Cruz County, 188.5km Tensions were high before the second stage, as many experts felt this might be a day that the general classification favorites would do battle up the Cat. 1 Empire Grade and Cat. 2 Bear Creek Road climbs.

Stage 1: Santa Rosa, 192.4km Team UnitedHealthcare’s Marc De Maar rode a strong opening stage at the Tour of California. De Maar finished 22nd place and his primary role was to make sure his teammate, Rory Sutherland, made it safe to the finish within the first group.
