This plan is geared towards an advanced beginner or intermediate triathlete. This plan has workouts scheduled 6 days a week. There is a 12 week base period followed by 6 weeks of build and two weeks of peak/taper phase.
This plan is geared toward an advanced beginner to intermediate duathete competing in a short-course event. (approximately 5k run - 30k bike - 5k run). This plan has workouts scheduled 5 days a week, one full rest day and one optional cross-training day. Total training time ranges from 4 to 6.5 hours per week.
This is the perfect 8-week plan if you are a beginner to triathlon and want to see what multisport fitness is all about! This plan has 4-6 hours of training each week and has approximately two swim sessions, two bike sessions, and two running sessions each week. One day a week is for cross-training (or rest day) and one day a week is a rest day. Any athlete could use this plan to maintain swim, bike and run fitness.
This is a Preparation phase training plan geared for a relatively new triathlete, but someone who is not necessarily new to swimming, biking and running. Workouts are scheduled six days a week with two swims, two bikes and two runs. Training is focused on technique and basic endurance to ease you back into training.
