Unfortunately, at this time we do NOT have a version of WKO+ that is natively compatible with MAC OS. However, it is possible to use WKO+ on a Mac, even though there is no MAC specific version. In order to run WKO+ on a Mac, you need to utilize a third party program that allows Windows to run on a Mac. There are a lot of WKO+ users running this setup successfully. Please review our official system requirements before purchasing WKO+.
You can use it with the Apple DUAL Boot system, called Boot Camp available at http://www.apple.com/bootcamp, which will let you run Windows on your Mac. You will need an Intel-based Mac to use these programs. We have also seen very positive results with running WKO+ through the latest version of Parallels. This program lets Intel Macs run Windows, and thus WKO+, side by side with other native Mac applications. http://www.parallels.com/en/products/desktop/
Similarly, we have seen really good results from using a program called VMfusion, which behaves very similarly to Parallels.
Using WKO+ on Codeweavers Crossover Mac, or any other emulation software that does not run WKO+ within a full license of Windows, is not supported. However, other users have found ways to WKO+ running in such an evironment. Here is a good blog that discusses one method (please note that we are unable to provide any troubleshooting or support with this setup):
For Running WKO+ on an older NON-Intel based Mac:
Buy Virtual PC - Windows 2000 version.
Please note that this combination may be too outdated of technology to support some of the newer direct USB connected training devices, thus we can not guarantee support for this configuration should you choose to use it.
If you are looking to use WKO+ to upload data to your TrainingPeaks account, we do have a native Mac solution for that at this time, check here for our new Device Agent
The Device Agent is a FREE desktop application that enables you to directly download your training device and instantly send the workout to your online account at TrainingPeaks.com (please note that uploading of data files to a TrainingPeaks.com online account only works if your account is in the Paid Subscription format, or if you are working with a coach that uses the TrainingPeaks.com Coach Edition). You can even be off-line, download your data and then send it when you get an internet connection at a later time. You will need a full subscription to TrainingPeaks.com to send your data to your account.
In addition, our TrainingPeaks central planning and storage products are web based, so they can be accessed from any computer (PC or Mac). You can try a free week trial at http://home.trainingpeaks.com/sign-up-personal-edition.aspx

Yes, TrainingPeaks WKO+ Software was designed with making custom graphs in mind! For Example, you can create new chart, clone a chart and adjust the different metrics that you want to display. Even within each graph there are customizable features. You can choose to look at the Power output over any time period, and as a pie chart or as distribution chart. Then within those, you can choose to see your power by how many watt increments you want (1, 2 ,5, 10, 20 watt increments.). You can size the graph however you like, zooming in and out and resizing.
Yes, WKO+ can be used as a training diary, but it is NOT as full featured for Journaling purposes as the web based accounts of TrainingPeaks.com. All of your information entered into your Ride Goal and Notes and anything entered in the personal settings are logged and searchable.
Yes, WKO+ saves all your customized data from each ride into each file named a .wko (workout). Your ride data will be intact in the manner you left it for you to view a day from now, year from now, etc.
It's very easy! Just come home from your ride, download your training device, then instantly see your default graphs and gain insight into your workout. Right away, you can view and analyze your data, highlighting your intervals and comparing them to each other. In 5 minutes, you can type in your verbal description of the ride, gain a HUGE insight into your ride and your fitness, and select important areas for deeper comparisons.
Yes, they are built right into the program! It is important that you ‘assign’ a workout to an athlete in order to have it calculated though. If you just download a file and do not assign it to an athlete, then TSS/IF will not be calculated.
Yes, you can export the data out as a .csv, .srm txt, .hrm, or computrainer cs .txt to send to others for viewing in their programs.
Yes, by using the 'Fast Find' feature, while viewing the graph, you can determine exactly what you want to find. Want to see how many times you went over 400watts for any time period between 15-90 seconds? Not a problem, just plug in the numbers in the 'Find' feature and WKO+ instantly finds that for you.
Yes, your Bests or CP zones are automatically calculated for each ride and presented for you to see for each ride that you have opened. You can click on the "eye" and instantly see the peak 30 seconds, etc highlighted on your graph.
Yes, by clicking on the "link" symbol , you can instantly connect a series of important efforts together. Say you did 10 intervals of 2minutes each. You can use the find feature to instantly have them highlighted, type in one time -"2 minute effort"- and then click the "link" button for each following interval. This will give you your rest period and also allow you to connect those efforts together.
Absolutely. WKO+ can work without power data.
To see charts for running and cycling, use the Perspectives feature. One of the additional features of WKO+ v3.0 is the Performance Management Charts, where you can separate out your data and predict your peak for both running and cycling.
Certainly. You can enter your data into the diary and also enter "faux" data for your workout if you like. Let's say that you know that based on your Mt. bike ride, that an hour up Golden Trail is the same about as your 1.5hour road ride around the horseshoe Loop. So, grab the file from a "typical" Horseshoe loop and bring it into your mountain bike ride date.
Yes, WKO+ v3.0 will bulk import data files with minimal steps! Full instructions can be found here in the Start Up Guide.
Yes, when you are finished viewing your data, while still having the ride open, goto >FILE< and then click on >Send<. Your computers default email client will open and your file will be attached, ready to be sent to your coach or friend. It is also simple to share your workouts via TrainingPeaks.com with the included “Upload to TrainingPeaks.com” function. Just download your data, then click “File -> Upload to TrainingPeaks.com” and your data is stored online where your coach can access it at any time. Your coach must be using the TrainingPeaks.com Coach Edition or you can use it for just yourself with a TrainingPeaks.com Personal Edition.
Yes, with WKO+ 3.0, all licenses come with the Unlimited Edition, allowing you to track unlimited number of clients. Here you will be able to keep as many different athletes and all of their data that they send you. Your athlete can mark up the file (creating ranges, highlighting important parts), and send it to you via TrainingPeaks.com or email. This will reduce your workload considerably and then both of you will be on the same page as you look at the file together.
Absolutely! This not only will help you coach clients better, but also make life easier for you!! TrainingPeaks WKO+ will help you better define strengths and weaknesses and help to decide when an athlete needs more rest or less.
It will be the ultimate tool between athlete and coach, as WKO+ was designed for this exact thing.
